View/Download Documents

These are the documents that I have created to help with women's health, nutrition, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This list is growing as I have time to add to it. I am always making more when I can, but growth is sometimes slow when life is busy. These are available for free to anyone, so please share with anyone else you know even across states or the country. These documents will always be free access to spread  as much knowledge all in one place as possible to those who need it. Always consult your provider before beginning anything new. These documents are not to replace provider care or recommendations and are not medical advice. These are meant to be general help guidelines, education for making decisions with your provider, and for planning and making the best of your experience. I plan to add a section for teen education sometime in the next year. I don't have much time to re-review documents, so some links or videos may not longer be available. The partner document specifically has been reported to have video links that no longer work. I will get to fixing that soon as I love the partner education documents.

Thank you for your support and patience!

Positions Guide

How to create a birth plan

How to create a birth plan

This covers many positions just to hang out in if labor is progressing well. This also covers what to do for weird labor presentations and back labor. I recommend printing this out close to labor and trying these positions to see what is comfortable and circle those, cross out ones that are not. Then you can bring this with you or have it for labor for ideas of positions to try. Sometimes positions you don't like are needed to help labor progress or to turn a baby into a better position.

Breathing Techniques

How to doula in a pinch!

Breathing Techniques

There are so many different breathing techniques but I generally focus on just deep breathing. I say start with a deep breath at the beginning of a contraction and let it out slow while relaxing. Do this again in the middle and end of each contraction with reminders to let your body relax and to take a break between. Verbal reminders and affirmations can be helpful between breaths as  you are struggling. Practice while you poop with breathing and relaxing as it is the closest thing to pushing.

Here are some more techniques to practice:
