Partners and Birth Team Education

Every family and birth team looks different, but having trusted people who feel informed, prepared, and involved can play an important role throughout this life transition. Education and preparation can help partners and birth teams feel more confident navigating challenges, offering meaningful care, and experiencing these moments alongside the people they care about.

Partner & Birth Team Education includes virtual educational sessions designed to help partners, spouses, family members, and other trusted individuals feel more comfortable navigating their role throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and early parenthood.

The Value of Preparation & Partnership

Partners, family members, friends, and other trusted birth team members often want to help in meaningful ways, yet still feel uncertain about what to expect, how to remain present during difficult moments, or how to best care for the people they love throughout this life transition.

The World Health Organization recognizes the importance of allowing women to have a companion of choice present throughout labor and childbirth, noting that trusted companionship and continuous support can improve both the childbirth experience and health outcomes for women and newborns.

Trusted loved ones and a companion of choice bring a unique level of personal connection that cannot be replaced. Education and preparation can help create a stronger sense of teamwork, communication, and involvement while helping partners and birth teams feel more confident stepping into this role.
