Virtual doula visits are designed to provide personalized education, guidance, and emotional support throughout pregnancy and postpartum in a flexible virtual setting.
Visits follow a flexible educational framework that can be tailored to each family’s unique questions, goals, and support needs while helping mothers and their chosen support systems feel more prepared and confident moving into birth and postpartum together.
Traditional in-person doulas are a wonderful fit for some families and provide physical support, advocacy, and guidance during labor itself. This support model is designed for those looking for more personalized education, preparation, and confidence throughout pregnancy and postpartum while feeling empowered to navigate birth together as a team.
Our goal is to help reduce some of the fear, confusion, and overwhelm that can come with such a major life transition while creating space for real conversations, honest questions, and individualized education rather than one-size-fits-all information. Whether you are a first-time mother with many questions or a seasoned mother looking for a little extra guidance, visits are designed to meet you where you are.
Education and preparation also extend to your chosen support system. Whether support comes from a partner, spouse, family member, or close friend, visits help loved ones feel more informed, involved, and confident supporting you. Together, families leave visits with greater peace of mind, clearer expectations, and a stronger sense of preparation for the journey ahead.
For families wanting additional preparation and education for partners and chosen support people, we also offer a dedicated Spouse & Partner Wellness Education section with more in-depth guidance surrounding pregnancy, birth, postpartum, women’s health, and menstrual cycle education.

Virtual pregnancy and postpartum doula support include one in-person prenatal intake visit followed by continued virtual pregnancy and postpartum visits focused on providing preparation, emotional care, and guidance throughout your journey into parenthood.
This care model is designed to provide consistent connection throughout pregnancy, birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and the transition into early parenthood. Visits create space for families to ask questions, process experiences, prepare for upcoming changes, and feel more informed and reassured throughout each stage of the journey.
Care continues from your initial prenatal visit through 8 weeks postpartum with a flexible approach that allows visits and areas of focus to shift alongside each family’s unique experiences, concerns, goals, and changing needs.

The initial prenatal visit is a 2-hour in-person meeting designed to help us get to know one another and begin building a personalized support plan for your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. This visit creates space to discuss your goals, concerns, previous experiences, questions, and the type of support that would help you feel most prepared and supported moving forward.
This visit may include:
Not every family’s needs are the same, and this visit is designed to meet you where you are while helping create a foundation for continued support throughout pregnancy and postpartum.

Pregnancy often comes with constant information, changing emotions, new decisions, and pressure to figure everything out quickly. These visits are intended to create a calmer and more supportive space where mothers and their chosen support people can slow down, ask questions, feel heard, and prepare together throughout the journey.
Continued Pregnancy Education and Support includes five 2-hour virtual prenatal visits focused on providing personalized guidance, preparation, and support throughout pregnancy. A general plan for visits and topics of focus can be discussed during your initial prenatal visit so families know what to expect and have time to prepare questions and discussion points between sessions.
Visits remain flexible to allow space for new questions, concerns, decisions, and experiences that may arise as pregnancy progresses.
Visits may include:
Not every topic will apply to every family, and visits are designed to shift alongside your individual needs and experiences throughout pregnancy.

The postpartum period is often one of the most overlooked and underserved parts of the parenting journey. Bringing home a new baby often comes with exhaustion, emotional ups and downs, changing routines, and the pressure to adjust to an entirely new stage of life very quickly. These visits are designed to create space for families to slow down, check in, process their experiences, and receive continued education and encouragement throughout the postpartum transition.
Fourth Trimester Recovery and Support includes three 2-hour virtual postpartum visits between birth and 8 weeks postpartum. Visits are focused on emotional support, recovery, newborn adjustment, and navigating the transition into early parenthood while providing continued reassurance and personalized education throughout the postpartum period.
The first postpartum visit is typically scheduled within the first week after birth, the second around 4 weeks postpartum, and the final visit around 8 weeks postpartum. A general plan for postpartum visits and areas of focus can be discussed throughout pregnancy while still allowing flexibility for changing recovery needs, questions, and experiences after birth.
Visits may include:
Every postpartum experience is different, and visits remain flexible to focus on the areas that feel most important to your recovery, wellness, and transition into parenthood.

For individuals with Washington State Medicaid insurance, qualifying doula visits are fully covered with no out-of-pocket cost to the client. As a registered Medicaid provider, visits can be billed directly through your insurance.
Clients using Medicaid are not required to use every prenatal or postpartum visit included within the Full Doula Services package. Visits can be adjusted based on your needs and preferences throughout pregnancy and postpartum. However, the initial in-person prenatal intake visit is required to establish care and begin services.

At this time, private insurance plans do not allow doulas to bill directly for services. All private-pay services must be paid out-of-pocket.
Upon request, a superbill can be provided at the completion of care for possible reimbursement through your insurance company. Reimbursement eligibility varies by plan and is determined directly by your insurance provider.
If you have an HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account), you may be able to use these funds for doula services depending on your individual plan. Families may need to submit a superbill for reimbursement after payment.
We encourage families to contact their insurance company or HSA/FSA provider directly to better understand their coverage, reimbursement process, and eligibility requirements. Additional information regarding insurance processing and superbills can be found in the FAQ section.

Virtual pregnancy and postpartum doula support described above is available for private-pay clients at a total cost of $1800.
Families may also choose individual educational visits focused on topics specific to their needs and goals. Individual visits are available at a rate of $125 per hour with a 2-hour minimum for virtual sessions. The in-person prenatal intake visit is not required for individual educational sessions.
